I was so saddened, shocked and stunned to hear the news of Carmela's passing. I did not know Carmela well (I worked at DMA's DC office from February of 2008 to March of 2009), but I spoke to her frequently over the phone during that time and appreciated her kindness and compassion when my position got eliminated on March 3, 2009. I will always remember her with great fondness, and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family, especially her beautiful little boy, Massimo. My heart aches for you all. God bless you.
