Condolences

Condolence From: Ingrid Heidrick
Condolence: I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of Marie Michelle. I am shocked and devastated to hear of her passing. I am so very sorry I was not able to attend her service because I was out of town.

As a linguistics student at the Graduate Center, Marie Michelle and I worked over the course of one year in the computer hub on the 7th floor. I remember her being so beautiful, so sweet, and so kind. We talked about our children and being wives and mothers, while trying to work toward our degrees. I remember one day I was feeling very very low. When we started talking I burst into tears and told her about my troubles. She comforted me, hugged me and told me it would all be alright. She understood what I was going through as a mother. I will never forget her kindness to me. She told me how much she loved her family, how much she loved her husband and two sons. She told me all about their personalities and how she was helping them with school.

She was an angel. I am so sorry and I pray that the family can find peace.

With loving memories and friendship, Ingrid Heidrick

Condolence: Dear Michelle,
I met you in college at AU. I remember you as a sweet soft spoken person who would always smile. When I got the message of your passing I could not believe it. I remember our trip to Miami with the girls. We all had a blast and remember how my father just adored you and would try to play with you. It was funny. My mother and father will be in shock to hear of your passing because they really enjoyed your company in their home in Miami. You are Haitian to, so that made even more welcome. You were a great person; inside and out. I send out my condolences to you and your family. You are with the Lord in peace. God bless your soul. You will be missed by all. God bless to your family and friends. RIP
With love,
Angela C. xoxo

Condolence: Marie-Michelle, I was devastated last night to read of your passing. Like everyone who knows you is saying, you were a shining light at the Graduate Center and had a beautiful energy that everyone envied and wanted to capture. I don't know what happened but I hope you were not in any pain at the end. I remember your kind words of perseverance and your infectious laugh that resonated from room to room and your lovely presence. You always had a smile on your face, a fashionable outfit on and a greeting for everyone you met. I haven't met many people like you in my life so your passing is even more difficult to understand. Rest assured we will always remember you as the beautiful woman, inside and out that you were. Sending positive white light to the family.

Condolence: Professor Monereau-Merry,
Thank you for being such an influential part of my freshman year at Iona. Your class was the first speech pathology class that I had taken, and you helped to confirm my interest and love for the field, and no other class has yet to teach me as much valuable knowledge as your class did. You were always such a friendly face on campus, and I will miss our run-ins around Iona and at the train station as well. It was always so pleasant and reassuring speaking to you about the field and about life in general. Thank you for everything that you have done for Iona, you will be greatly missed. We were all lucky to have had known you for the time that we did. My condolences to your family and friends, you truly were an incredible professor, role model, and person.

Condolence: Michou, how I miss you. You brightened a room when you walked in. Your amazing spirit could always lift mine. I will miss our talks after teaching our classes or a meeting together. You were always working to be a better teacher, researcher and mom, wanting to serve your family, students, and the research community in the best possible way. We loved to talk share stories about our boys. I want your boys and family to know how you love them and care for them above all, always. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will live on in my heart forever.
