You do not know me but Eileen Taft is a cousin of mine also. Your husband was my dad's cousin. My dad was Vito Catalano (we spelled it with ano) and was the son of Antonio, Salvatore's (Sam) brother. I don't know if you remember me. My mom, Linda Catalona Taft, is the daughter of your brother-in-law, Dr. William Catalona. I just heard today from Mickala Catalona Frantz about Joe's passing. I am very deeply sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a child. My own son is 25, and I know I would be devastated to go through what you have. Condolence: Everyone should have the opportunity to have known someone like Joe Catalano. He was a great listener and always had a smile and hello for everyone - even on the not so good days. It took alot to get him riled up and when he said "How are you doing?" he genuinely wanted to know. I am sad that we had not been able to connect over this past year, but I am so glad that I had the good fortune to have known him, and not only work with him, but to also call him a friend.
