Obituary for Eleanor Stella

Eleanor Stella (nee Bottega) entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2018.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 2, 2018, from 2pm-4pm at Andrew Torregrossa & Sons 345 Avenue U Brooklyn, NY.
A funeral mass will be held on April 3,2018, at 9:45am at St. Edmund’s Catholic Church 2460 Ocean Avenue Brooklyn, NY. Followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery 210 Princeton Blvd. Calverton, NY.
Eleanor resided in Brooklyn, NY. She was a homemaker who doted on her beloved family. During WW2 she worked to support the wartime effort at home. She loved to cook, entertain, was active in her church St. Edmunds, enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting afghans for loved ones, and spending time with family.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Caroline, husband Anthony, longtime companion Tom, son Anthony, daughter Lorraine, brother’s Joseph, Ralph and James, sister’s Bessie and Marie.
She is survived by her brothers Richard and John, daughter-in-law Susan, Grandsons Robert & his partner Nicole, Michael and his wife Jennifer, and Nicholas, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Eleanor’s name be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or call 1-800-822-6344.
