In loving memory of Rose Gaudiuso
Rose Gaudiuso (Caputo), 87, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022. Rose was born on February 25, 1935 in Mola di Bari to Michele and Veronica Caputo.
Rose came to the United States in 1955. She went to New Utrecht High School to learn English at night. She had fond memories of working at the Grand Army Plaza Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.
Rose married her beloved Vincent Gaudiuso in 1959 and after spending the initial years of their marriage apart, they began building their life together in the United States. She loved attending to her family, church and the Italian social organizations to which she belonged. Rose also dedicated time teaching CCD to children in which English was their second language. Later in life Rose was happy spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents and beloved Vincent, Rose was pre-deceased by her sister Maria. She is survived and will be sorely missed by her sons Peter and Michael, daughter in law Mary Ellen, grandchildren Matthew and Mikayla, sisters Giovanna, Giuseppina and Antonia, her cousins and many nieces and nephews.
