Rosario Aliotta was born in Licodia Eubea, Sicily to Giuseppe Aliotta and Vincenza Sciorta in 1931. He was the youngest of 7 children: 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He loved playing soccer and when he could not play any more he watched it on TV. In his youth, he played drums which led to his appreciation of opera.
He came to America in the late 50s as a bachelor and worked as a barber, then returned to Licodia Eubea to court and marry his wife, Giuseppa Greco. They returned to America and had 3 children: Vivian Nichilo, Maria Saputo and Concetta Aliotta. He worked for Bank of America for 20+ years in the mail and supplies department.
His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Anthony, Victoria, Simona and Abriella They love their Nonno very much and will feel his absence.
His sweet smile will be missed.
