Obituary for Rita Anderson
Rita Brienza Anderson passed away peacefully at her home on May 23, 2019. She will be waked at Torregrossa Funeral Home and laid to rest at Moravian Cemetery along side her husband.
Nicholas and Mary Brienza made a big leap of faith when they settled in Brooklyn leaving Little Italy at the turn of the 20th century. They had two boys, Victor and Michael and a daughter, Rita.
At 28 years old she married the love of her life, Bill Anderson, on April 29, 1956.
Rita is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen, Linda, Donna and her husband John, and Barbara and her husband Adam. Rita cherished all of her grandchildren, Billy and his wife Ellen, Michael and his partner Jackie, John and his partner Jonathan, Jennifer, Joe and his partner Mallory, Jessica, Jackie, Jordan and Joshua.
Rita had many friends and was loved by all. She was the most empathetic person to everyone and she made people feel like they knew her forever.
