Ramona Diaz passed away suddenly on July 6, 2022, at the age of 77.
Ramona was a devoted mother to 4 children, doting grandmother to 8 grandchildren, a devout Catholic
and a diehard Yankees fan. Some of her favorite moments were spent on the little league baseball fields
with her son and grandson.
Ramona was a loyal friend who always thought of others first. She kept her large circle of friends close
and cherished their friendships.
Ramona is survived by her children Josephine Walsh (Michael), Lisa Corbett (Michael), Ebett Griffin
(Kevin) and Jose Diaz (Lisa). She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Connor, Kevin,
Justin, Saige, Keaira and Alex.
Ramona was an integral part of the Catholic community in Matthews, NC and was the baseball team’s
grandma and biggest fan. Lovingly called Abuelita or Tita, Ramona was loved by all who came into
contact with her.
Her passing has left a big hole in everyone’s hearts, and she will forever be missed.
