Obituary for Pietro Armetta
Pietro was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend among so many other titles.
He left this world suddenly on August 2, 2023, at the age of 86.
He was born to Angelo and Nina Armetta on Mat 19, 1937 in Sicily where he lived his childhood years,
enjoying the beautiful mountains and growing up with his three sisters and making lifelong friends.
As a young man, he joined the military to serve his country after which he returned home to marry the
love of his life and our mother, Maria Armetta. It gives us comfort that they are now reunited in heaven.
They ventured to America in 1969 where had four children; Nina, Lia, Diana, and Angelo. He worked
so hard to provide for the family he adored, but never forgot to play just as hard to make unforgettable,
lifelong memories that we will cherish forever.
His passion was his family. He so enjoyed his Sunday in the park with his kids or watching his boxing
matches on TV after Sunday dinner. He loved his espresso in the winter and a cold beer in the summer.
His passion for playing cards and playing checkers was undying, still able to beat us at scopa or checkers
up until his last day.
He adored his children in law like his own and always made Jason, Eric, Vincent and Adrienne feel loved. His most precious accomplishments were his grandchildren, who adored him just as much and will carry on legacy for generations to come. Please join us in saying our last goodbyes to unique soul as we lay him to rest.
