Obituary for Paolo Nacherlilla

Paolo Nacherlilla, 74 years old, of Brooklyn N.Y., passed away on December 28, 2022. Paolo was born on November 4, 1948 to Vito and Antonia Nacherlilla in Rutigliano,Italy. He and his family then immigrated to Venezuela, where they lived for 13 years before coming to America in 1963.
Paolo was drafted in 1968 and fought in Vietnam in the army. He was honorably discharged as a Sargent and was a recipient of 3 Purple Hearts, 1 bronze star and 1 silver star medal.
When he returned from Vietnam, he started working as a body man at Metro Auto Body, where he worked his way up to Foreman of the shop. He formed a lot of amazing, life-long relationships there that he held in high regard. He retired in 2015 after working for 45 years.
In 1968 he was introduced to his loving wife Francesca through her brother Dominick Maugeri. Dominick felt that they would be a perfect match, and he was right. Fifty beautiful years together. Paolo and Francesca went on to have three children : Antoinette, Nicky and Paula.
Paolo is predeceased by his brother Nicola, his father Vito, his mother Antonia, his brother in law Paolo Romito and his granddaughter AnnaMaria. He is survived by his loving wife Francesca. His children Antoinette, Michael, Nicky, Paula and Charlie. Forever cherished and remembered by his 7 grandchildren Ava, Alivia, Paolo, Vincenzo, Lucia, Christopher and Louie. His sister Laura who he loved so much, his brother Oronzo and his many nieces and nephews.
