Obituary for Jean DeLissio

Jean DeLissio, 91, of Wilton CT died peacefully Monday, October 28 surrounded by family. She was born August 10, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Frank and Vita Mistretta.

She was one of 13 children. She married her sweetheart, Joseph, who she met one glorious summer day at Coney Island Beach. She was educated at Fashion Institute of Technology and Pace University. She advanced to become finance administrator for several prominent restaurants in NYC including the River Café.

She was full of life, a devoted wife and mother and she elevated spoiling grandchildren to an art form. She always had magic self-filling plates and trays of food at the ready for family and guests. By example, she taught us that with persistence you could accomplish anything you set your mind to.
She was last seen dancing in Heaven with her husband Joseph and Vita, her mother.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. She is survived by her sister Anna, brother Reno, her 3 sons, Gerard and wife Annette, Joseph, Michael and wife Marilyn; grandchildren Krista, Robert, David, Joseph, Andrew, Ryan, Julia, Michael and Nicole; and great grandchildren Julian and Emilia.
Visitation will be November 1, at Andrew Terragrossa and Sons Funeral Home, 1305 79th St, Brooklyn, NY 11228
2-5 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral Mass will be at St Thomas Aquinas in Brooklyn, NY Saturday, Nov 2 at 9:30 AM.

Special thanks to the amazing staff at the Greens of Cannondale in Wilton, CT and Hospice services who all helped to shepherd Mom through such a peaceful passing.
