Giuseppe “Joe” Rizzi, a beloved Italian- American man, esteemed veteran, and cherished father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on February 23rd 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Aug. 28th 1928 in Bari, Italy, Giuseppe came to America at a young age where he embraced the American Dream while preserving his rich Italian heritage. He proudly served in the Italian navy, honoring his country with dedication. Giuseppe is survived by his older brother Sallustio and loving daughters, Vera Rizzi-Stanzl and Maria Curto, son-in-law Angelo Curto and cherished grandchildren, Charles and Amanda Curto. He was a source of unwavering love, guidance and support for his family, instilling in them the values of resilience, integrity and compassion.
Giuseppe was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Diva, who preceded him is death 23 years ago. Together they shared a love and bond like no other that continues to inspire all who knew them.
Throughout his life, Giuseppe embodied the spirit of a hard working man and perseverance. He was a dedicated provider and a beacon of strength for his family and friends. His legacy of love, kindness and generosity will live on through the countless lives he touched.
In his free time, Giuseppe enjoyed sharing stories of his Italian heritage, playing cards, and spending time with his family. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
