Obituary for Frances J. Pulomena

Frances Pulomena, beloved mother of 3, grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 11 passed away peacefully on May 14, 2021 at the golden age of 100.

Frances was a lifelong resident of the Bensonhurst community and was extremely active member of the parish of St. Frances Cabrini since it’s founding over 50 years ago. Frances held a variety of positions within the church including: President of the Home School Association, President of the Parish Council Board, President of the Young at Heart Club and President of the Ladies Society. Frances has been an active participant in the parish food collections for the poor, has been a lector at Mass, visited the parish homebound on a regular basis and has served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Frances was a great cook and baker, and famously known for her Christmas Eve of seven fishes and her glorious Christmas cookies. She loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed being with her seniors every Wednesday for club meetings and outings.

Frances was predeceased by her husband, Peter, of 59 years and by her daughter, Esther. She is survived by her children, Jenny (James) and John (Maha). She also leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved brother, Tony, his family and many nieces and nephews.

She will truly be missed by all. God Bless her always.
