Anne and I shared a special friendship. I cannot express the sadness I feel for your loss and the loss of all of us who loved your Mother. I am grateful that your Mother and I had the friendship we had and will forever be indebted to her for the beautiful times we all shared together. I am grateful that, through your Mom, I had the privilege of meeting not only the two of you but your extended family. And, of course I want to thank your Mom and all of you for always making us feel part of your family.

Condolence: My sympathies and condolences to the Mattera and Palmieri families. I will always remember Anne most of all as Annie Palmieri as a happy young girl growing up on Sterling Place in Brooklyn surrounded by her parents and brother.

I worked with your mom at the Port Authority (with Johanna) and we got together for dinner a couple of times after we both left.
I was sorry to hear of her passing from Johanna on Tuesday ...
Your mom was "one of a kind" ... always vivacious, smiling and talking "with her Italian hands" ... God Bless Her and both of you.
