Obituary for Ann Sarchapone

Ann Sarchapone, at the age of 97 years old from Brooklyn, New York, passed away on her wedding Anniversary on Monday, August 15th, 2022 in Stuart, FL.

Ann was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and she graduated from Sarah J. Hale High School. She then married the love of her life Frank Sarchapone. She spent many years working for the New York Board of Education. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Frank and Ann had many dreams for when they retire. But sadly, after retiring, her husband had a tragic car accident that left him parlayed. After a two-year battle he passed away and left Ann a widow. She learn to drive late in life at the age of 57 years old. Ann led a very active lifestyle. Enjoying life with her friends and family. She loved the slots at the Casinos, traveling, family get togethers, her home in the Poconos and let’s not forget her fabulous cooking. Ann was a very stylish person. She was never without her hair perfectly styled, her polished nails and her make-up. She was always impeccably dressed. She shared two homes, one in the summers at the Poconos, Pa and the winters in Brooklyn, NY. She was a pet lover and adore her dogs. She was full of life and young at heart. She was a very generous woman who share her wealth to help her family become more successful.

Unfortunately, she had a stroke, which ended her lifestyle. Ann was moved to Stuart Florida near her son Frank, where she spent her last seven and a half years at the Solaris Healthcare Parkway nursing home. She received a great deal of support from a dedicated team of Solaris caregivers thru out the years and more recently, from Treasure Coast Hospice.

Ann will be missed by all who knew her. Ann is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Sarchapone. She is survived by her two sons William Sarchapone of Freehold, New Jersey and Frank Sarchapone of Port St. Lucie, Florida, daughter-n-laws Joanna Sarchapone and Beatrice Sarchapone and her four granddaughters Linda and her husband Tony of Massapequa, New York, Christine and husband Richie of Marlboro, New Jersey, Jennifer of Gainesville, Florida and Kristen of Ohio and her six great grandchildren Joanna, Anthony, Jessica, Alexandra, Kayla and Christopher. Plus, Nancy Moore, Frank’s girlfriend a dedicated woman who took care of all of Ann’s need out side of the Nursing home.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 from 2:00 to 4::00 pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Torregrossa Funeral Home, 1305 79th St, Brooklyn, NY. The internment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 500 25th St., Brooklyn, NY. Service will at 11:00am
