Our Avenue U funeral home is located in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. It is a beautifully unique facility that has been built from the finest materials. Below we have several photos that display the facility. Click on the images to get a larger view.
The funeral home, built in 1952, is immediately distinguished by the “Louisiana Limestone” exterior facade, over-sized Marquee entrance, meticulously landscaped grounds, and the American Flag perched high above, flying proudly over the funeral home and the street below.
Lobby
Upon entering the funeral home, guests will be greeted in the beautifully designed lobby. The quality and attention to detail in the funeral home's construction is clearly evident. Terrazzo floors, imported Carrara Italian marble walls, plaster frieze molding, and 2 large crystal chandeliers are just a few of the funeral home's recognizable features. The funeral home is completely handicap accessible with all visitation chapels, offices, and lavatories on street level.
Chapels
The 4 visitation chapels can be used for various religious and non-religious ceremonies. Each chapel is beautifully appointed with Axminster rugs throughout, multiple seating options for family and guests, individually climate controlled, and could accommodate as small as 50 individuals for intimate needs or as large as 150+ individuals for larger gatherings. Visual equipment is available for personal video tribute presentations if requested.
