Obituary for Grazyna Radoszek
Grazyna Radoszek, 60, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 5, 1956 in Krakow, Poland.
She was brave, strong and determined, having immigrated to the United States when she was 32, with her husband and three young children. A loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, she doted on her family and ensured anyone who walked into her home was well fed. She was an avid reader and was rarely seen without a book nearby. She passed along the love of books and reading to her children and grandchildren.
Grazyna is survived by her husband Jozef Radoszek; three daughters, Liz (Pat) Golmon, Anna Radoszek, and Kathy (Andy) Paez; eight grandchildren Monica Bednarowicz, Agnes Wojciechowski, Amy Wojciechowski, Jessica Wojciechowski, Greyson Andresen, Gabriel Paez, Alexander Paez and Eleora Paez; her brother Wieslaw Pajor and his children and grandchildren; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcin and Anna Sopata.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 6 - 8pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Andrew Torregrossa & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 79th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11228.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Helen Sawaya Fund. Please include “In memory of Grazyna Radoszek" on your check and mail it to Dr. Gabriel Sara, Mount Sinai West, 1000 10th Avenue, Suite 11C02, New York, New York 10019. Online donations may be made at http://thehelensawayafund.org. Grazyna and her family benefited from the services provided by this Fund while under Dr. Sara’s care. Please also consider donating blood to a local blood bank.
